Ingredients
- 1 cup polenta-style ground cornmeal
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Organic California Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Olive Oil
- Sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes, for finishing
- Additional Garlic Olive Oil, for finishing
Directions
- Bring 4 cups of lightly salted water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- Gradually whisk in the polenta and reduce the heat to medium.
- Add the garlic powder, freshly ground black pepper, Organic California Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and 2 teaspoons Garlic Olive Oil.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for approximately 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the polenta is smooth and creamy.
- Spoon the finished polenta into bowls.
- Finish with a drizzle of Garlic Olive Oil and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Marash red pepper flakes are delicious here, but traditional red pepper flakes work beautifully as well.
- Serve warm.
